Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 2026

diol exists to help you recover money you are genuinely owed, in a way that is honest and compliant. This policy is part of our Terms of Service, is mandatory, and is enforced.

You must

  • Use diol only for legitimate commercial invoices owed to your business.
  • Keep customer contact and consent information accurate and current.
  • Honor opt-outs immediately — diol suppresses all channels on a STOP or any reasonable revocation of consent.
  • Respect business hours and the TCPA 8am–9pm recipient-local quiet-hour floor (enforced by the cadence engine).
  • Allow the recording disclosure to play in all-party-consent states.
  • Send outreach only as your own business, with accurate sender and caller identity.

You must not

  • Threaten litigation, arrest, credit damage, or fees you have not actually established.
  • Misrepresent who you are — outreach goes out as your business, never as a third-party collector.
  • Contact consumers about personal (non-commercial) debts through diol.
  • Harass recipients, contact them at an unreasonable frequency, or message anyone who has opted out.
  • Upload data you lack the right to use, or use diol to violate any law.
  • Resell, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent the Service’s guardrails, rate limits, or security.

Messaging & calling rules

  • You are responsible for the consent and compliance basis for every channel, including the TCPA and CAN-SPAM.
  • SMS sending requires properly registered A2P 10DLC messaging; you must provide accurate registration details and support STOP and HELP keywords.
  • You must not use diol to send spam, deceptive content, or messages unrelated to a real invoice you are owed.

How diol helps you comply

  • Every generated message passes a guardrail check that blocks threats, fabricated legal or fee claims, and missing opt-out notices.
  • Consent flags and the opt-out registry suppress channels automatically.
  • Quiet-hours and time-zone checks defer sends outside the allowed window.
  • Sensitive actions are written to an audit log.

These safeguards assist you but do not replace your own compliance responsibility — you remain the sender of record.

Enforcement
